DIY Law: new advice

DIY Law: new advice

New advice published aimed at people going through the courts without legal advice. The Royal Courts of Justice Advice Bureau, together with AdviceNow, this week publishes a series of advice guides aimed at unrepresented parties in cases in the County Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.

The ‘Going to Court’ leaflets are available HERE.

The RCJ advice bureau deals with inquiries from more than 11,000 people a year (all either about to be or involved in court proceedings). ‘More and more people are seeking our advice, with a 40% increase in enquiries in the last financial year – this is one more way we can help litigants in person,’ says Alison Lamb, Chief Executive of RCJ Advice Bureau & Islington CAB. This is before the legal aid cuts – see HERE.
